Ottoman Yataghan Sword w/ Scabbard - Ottoman or Islamic yataghan sword with scabbard, 19th century. Steel and leather scabbard. Horn handle with split ears, central tang covered in panels of embossed silver to the blade. Single edge straight blade with section of silver wire inlaid decoration and floral motifs. Spine of the blade with scalloping and horizontal engraved portion with the forward section having a raised medial ridge. Size 29” L x 4” W x 3” H, weight 996g Condition: sheath metal bands at base of sheath separate and are loose.
