Early Tibetan Long Sword, 19th Century - Tibetan Plateau, early Tibet long sword 19th century in traditional form with scabbard in red with painted black foux mounts, strung to the top as a belt loop. The sword with a wide straight single edged blade that curves upward at the tip and features a lightly raised ridge. The handle in brass to the base and pommel with a single band of foux wound spring decoration and the grip in wood with a stippled pattern in bands. Size 33 1/4” L, blade 25 5/8”
