Processional Monstrance, Spanish Colonial 1600-1700s - Large and impressive processional gilt silver, enamel, and gem set monstrance circa 1600s - 1700s. Spanish Colonial with all silver openwork construction and inset with pinned Carrara marble panels and red faceted stone. Piercing work of typical scrolling with grapes or fruit. At the ends of each protrusion fine floral and enamel floral motifs. Central to the top an elaborate cross. Face hinged with a crescent moon shaped holder for a reliquary or important painting.
