Two Handwoven Navajo Wool Sash Belts - American Southwest, Navajo, 20th century. Pair of handwoven wool sash belts, each of elongated rectangular form. One belt features a polychrome linear design composed of alternating bands in red, cream, blue, and brown, terminating in loose knotted fringe. The second is woven predominantly in red and cream, with repeating geometric motifs arranged in a structured sequence along the length, and finished with braided tassel ends. Both exhibit flat-woven construction with visible warp and weft structure. First is 88”L Second is 66”L Ex-Private New Mexico Estate. Collection Amassed Prior to 1995 Condition: Minor wear and fraying consistent with use; colors remain stable.
