African Bronze Mask, Lobi-Style - Large African bronze mask, probably Lobi peoples Burkina Faso, possibly 19th century or later. Stamped with date (1828 or 1822) to the interior. Elongated nose, excentric scarification tattoos to the skull, and double prong ears at either side. Size 10 1/4” L, Weight 3 lb. 3.2 oz Family collection of an esteemed diplomat and ambassador amassed during travel and work circa 1960-1990s in the medical field providing charitable advanced medical care throughout the African continent and internationally. Condition: Good condition with typical wear, heavy layer of soot or dust over the surface.
