Terracotta head fragment with broad cap-like coiffure, recessed eyes, pronounced nose, and softly modeled mouth, the neck rising from a surviving portion of the upper torso. The simplified facial planes and weathered earthen surface give the piece an appealing archaic character, while the fragmentary state contributes to its sculptural presence.
