Terracotta Male Nok Head on Custom Stand - Nigeria, circa 500 BC to 200 AD. Wonderful hand crafted terracotta male Nok head on a custom stand. Facial features include slit eyes and flared nostrils, beard like detailing around the chin. Size 4 1/2” H, 7 1/2” H on stand, weight 3.69 lb. Collected in Ghana in 1979.. Family collection of an esteemed diplomat and ambassador amassed during travel and work circa 1960-1990s in the medical field providing charitable advanced medical care throughout the African continent and internationally. Condition: Good overall condition with wear commensurate with age.
