Petite Meiji Period Satsuma Vase: Signed
Signed petite satsuma fluted vase depicting feudal court life in the Meiji period with Shimazu family crest on both enamel seal at the base and in a repeat pattern on the lip of the fluted opening. Depicting motif of court life, leisure garden pursuits under the watchful eye of the floating goddesses above. Size: H- 5.25 inches. Opening- 3.25 inches. Cond: two flea bite chips are noted, one at lip one at the base, light age and handling wear to the gold.
