The Country Neighbors (Les Voisins de Campagne) by Felix Buhot
Etching, drypoint, and aquatint on laid paper; fourth state of six. An attached certification on the back says "From Frederick Keppel & Co. Rare Engravings and Etchings" "No. F 4235" "Country Neighbors original etching by Felix Buhot. This proof is stamped with Buhots device of an owl and the letters F.B."
Impression measures 5 1/4 x 8 7/8 inches. Professionally framed and matted. Outer measurements are 14 by 12 1/2 inches.
Félix Hilaire Buhot was a French painter and illustrator. Among the most original prints made in France during the last quarter of the nineteenth century are those by Félix Buhot.
