US Civil War Confederate CS Canteen - A great example of a tin drum canteen marked with an embossed CS. Roughly 6.25 inches across and little over 1.5 inches thick. Few side dents. Spout is soldered on. As well the loops for the strap. CS is embossed on one side. Provenance:Acquired from a single owner private estate collection originating in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The collection was carefully stored in Slatington, Pennsylvania for approximately five years prior to being consigned to the auction house.
