3 Gallon Blue Decorated Chicken Stoneware Crock - Not stamped with a maker. Has some manufacturing flaws in areas. Number 3 was stamped 2 twice 1st time caught the rim. Second was much better below the rim. Far below the left handle is a glazed over wide scratch. Some rim chipping on the inside rim and bottom. Over 10 inches tall. Provenance: Acquired from a single owner private estate collection originating in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The collection was carefully stored in Slatington, Pennsylvania for approximately five years prior to being consigned to the auction house. The consignor noted that the collection had long-standing ties to the Gettysburg region, reflecting a deep appreciation for historical preservation and Americana.
