4 Gallon Blue Decorated Stoneware Jug - Roughly 15 inches tall as ll. Has a khaki sand dirt color to it. Not maker stamped. Has a 4 and a unknown blue decoration on it. It appears the blue decorated was a sheep or lamb. But only has 1 leg. Has a wood stopper. Deep chip on the opening area. Around the bottom is chipping, flaking and a few hairlines.Provenance:Acquired from a single owner private estate collection originating in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The collection was carefully stored in Slatington, Pennsylvania for approximately five years prior to being consigned to the auction house.
