Blue Decorated Stoneware Jar - Chip on the top outside rim, but is glazed over, so it was in the making. Only stamped with a circle and a ”I” inside the circle. Nice bold blue color. One area has a pinch in the floral decoration. Above this pinch is a chip. Slightly right of the pinch is a hairline or spidering running straight down. Left of the pinch is a chip in the floral decoration. And left of that chip is a smaller chip is a slight indentation. The bottom has numerous chips. Over 10 inches tall. Provenance:Acquired from a single owner private estate collection originating in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The collection was carefully stored in Slatington, Pennsylvania for approximately five years prior to being consigned to the auction house. The consignor noted that the collection had long-standing ties to the Gettysburg region, reflecting a deep appreciation for historical preservation and Americana.
