Blue Decorated Stoneware Ovoid Jug - Chip out of the rim on the leftside by the handle. Base of the handle is a faint hairline crack. Smoke rings going around the top of the jug. 10 inches tall. Some discoloration in areas. Really nice design of the ovoid. Provenance: Acquired from a single owner private estate collection originating in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The collection was carefully stored in Slatington, Pennsylvania for approximately five years prior to being consigned to the auction house. The consignor noted that the collection had long-standing ties to the Gettysburg region, reflecting a deep appreciation for historical preservation and Americana.
