About the Artist:
Erté (1892–1990), born Romain de Tirtoff, was a Russian-born French artist known for his contributions to the Art Deco movement. His work spans fashion illustration, costume and set design, and bronze sculpture. Erté’s style is characterized by refined lines, stylized figures, and theatrical elegance, often drawing inspiration from mythology, opera, and haute couture. His bronze sculptures reflect the same visual drama and precision found throughout his career.
