Gene Kloss ”Navajo Canyon Cliffs” Etching - Signed in the lower right margin, titled and numbered 12/50 in the lower left. Unframed. Size: 15” x 19 3/4”  Condition:  Shows light toning around the image, a few handling marks up top, and pencil marks in the lower right corner.   Gene Kloss (1903–1996) was an acclaimed American printmaker known for her evocative etchings of the American Southwest. Based in Taos, New Mexico, Kloss captured dramatic landscapes, Pueblo ceremonies, and Native American life with exceptional sensitivity and technical skill. A member of the National Academy of Design, she produced over 600 etchings during her lifetime and is regarded as one of the leading figures in 20th-century American printmaking.
