Active from the late 20th century onward, he frequently works in fresco-based media, hand-ground pigments, and mixed-material surfaces that emphasize physical texture and atmospheric tone. Jamali’s practice spans painting, photography, and limited-edition prints, often incorporating spiritual or mythic themes drawn from personal and cultural sources. His work is associated with contemporaries exploring expressive abstraction and material experimentation, including artists such as Francesco Clemente, Anselm Kiefer, and Julian Schnabel.
