William Perry's Royal Standard English Dictionary First American Edition - Very Rare-First Edition Of The First Dictionary Printed In America.  The pages appear complete, and the hardcover was apparently replaced in 1822. Publication Date: January 1, 1788 Publisher: Isaiah Thomas, Worcester, Massachusetts Purpose: Intended to fix a standard for the pronunciation of the English language. Dimensions: 5 1/2” T x 5” W x 2” D    Condition: The book is in good condition. Cover has scratches and a crack along the spine, consistent with age. Pages are in good condition with staining and foxing. The front page is loose, but still attached. See images for details.
