William Wadhams Kwakiutl Bird Carving - Bowl Depicting Crane.  Stained red cedar with abalone inlay.  Signed on the bottom.    Dimensions: 11 1/2” x 3” x 3 1/4”    Condition: Minor scratches to the wood; otherwise, in good condition.    Artist Bio:  William Wadhams, born in 1966, originates from Alert Bay, British Columbia. He is a member of the Kwakwakaw'wakw First Nation. He started carving at a very young age and comes from a large family of very well-known artists and carvers, and credits his uncle Ray Wadhams for his teachings. Through his artwork, he's trying to help preserve and bring awareness to his native culture.
