Jean Francois Larrieu 'Village Tree' Oil On Canvas - Signed: Lower right Frame: 37 3/4” x 30 1/4”  Image: 36” x 28 1/2”    Condition: Loss of gold leaf to the frame. The image has small spots of paint loss along the edges, mostly along the bottom edge & left side.  Otherwise, piece is in very good condition.   Bio: Jean-François Larrieu is a French contemporary painter known for his colorful, densely patterned compositions that blend figuration with abstracted architectural and botanical motifs. Born in 1960, Larrieu developed a style characterized by layered surfaces, rhythmic linework, and a distinctive use of saturated color. His paintings often depict imagined cityscapes, gardens, and symbolic forms arranged in structured yet highly decorative arrangements.
