Mid-Century Modern Teak Fresco Sideboard by G-Plan, circa 1960s - A classic Mid-Century Modern teak sideboard from the celebrated Fresco range, designed by Victor Wilkins for the British manufacturer G-Plan (E. Gomme Ltd) during the 1960s. The piece is skilfully crafted with teak veneers and features a bank of four drawers to the left-hand side, adjacent to two double-door cupboards. It is defined by its signature sculpted, integrated wooden handles and a sleek, flush-front profile. The carcass is supported by a distinctive solid teak sculptural underframe with tapered legs and a curved stretcher, reflecting the strong Scandinavian design influence of the era. The top drawer is typically fitted with a felt-lined cutlery insert. This model is a quintessential example of high-quality British mass-market furniture design from the post-war period.
