Mid-Century Modern Oak Chest of Drawers - This mid-20th-century chest of drawers is a characteristic example of the utilitarian Mid-Century Modern style, constructed from solid oak and oak veneers with a warm honey-toned finish. The piece features a simple rectangular carcase housing four full-width drawers, each fitted with two original turned wooden pull knobs. The design emphasises clean lines and functional form, typical of British furniture production during the 1950s and 1960s. The drawers are constructed with period-appropriate machine-cut dovetail joints and secondary timbers. The chest is raised on short, squared legs that are integrated into the side panels.
