German Porcelain (Sitzendorf), Rococo-Style Cherub Wall Pockets, Model 7239 - A fine pair of late 19th or early 20th-century German porcelain wall pockets, likely produced in the Thuringia region by factories such as Sitzendorf or Volkstedt. Each vessel is designed in the ornate Rococo style, featuring a centrally seated cherub or putto nestled within a dense arrangement of hand-applied, encrusted floral blooms, including lilacs and other small flowers. The pockets are finished with shell-like, scalloped rims, scrollwork accents, and gilded highlights. The reverse of one piece is impressed with the model number 7239 and bears an indistinct blue underglaze factory mark. Height: 16 cm.
