Late Victorian Architectural Oak and Veneered Mantel Clock - This late Victorian architectural mantel clock, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, is constructed with a solid oak case featuring a prominent grain and a central panel finished in mahogany-toned veneers. The design follows a neo-classical influence, characterised by a pedimented top and flanking fluted pilasters. The circular dial is set behind a brass-rimmed glass bezel, featuring Roman numeral markers and two winding apertures for a striking movement, complemented by ornate black metal hands. The construction reflects the transition from hand-finished to industrialised furniture and clock production typical of the late Victorian and Edwardian eras.
