An Antique Chip-Carved Wooden Folk Art Triangular Stool - This antique wooden folk art stool features a triangular seat with elaborate chip-carved geometric patterns. The carving includes a central hexagonal honeycomb design surrounded by radiating star and diamond motifs. The piece is supported by three turned, tapering legs with ring-turned detailing and is finished in a dark stain. The construction consists of a solid wood seat into which the legs are socketed. The underside shows the terminus of the leg joins. The geometric decoration is executed in a traditional chip-carving technique across the entire upper surface of the seat.
