Late 20th Century Regency Style Mahogany Writing Table - A Regency-style mahogany writing table of mid-to-late 20th-century manufacture. The rectangular top features a moulded edge over a two-drawer apron, with each drawer fitted with circular brass-toned ring pulls and a central keyhole. The desk is supported by a classic X-frame or curule-style base, joined by a central turned stretcher for structural support. Decorative turned ring accents are featured where the tapered legs meet the frame. The piece is constructed from mahogany and similarly stained hardwoods, finished in a warm satin lustre.
