Late 20th Century Scandinavian Red Leather Reclining Lounge Chair and Ottoman, attributed to Ekornes Stressless - A contemporary Scandinavian-style reclining lounge chair and matching ottoman, dating from the late 20th century, circa 1990s. The set is upholstered in a deep red leather, featuring an ergonomic design with a high, contoured backrest defined by decorative topstitching and an integrated headrest. The chair is fitted with padded armrests and is supported by a curved, laminated bentwood swivel pedestal base with a mahogany-toned finish. This aesthetic is mirrored in the matching ottoman, which sits upon a four-legged bentwood base. While no maker's marks are immediately visible, the design and construction are characteristic of the Stressless range by the Norwegian manufacturer Ekornes.
