An Art Deco Kensington Pottery Hand-Painted Cobalt Lustre Floral Pitcher - A British Art Deco earthenware pitcher produced by Kensington Pottery Ltd, Hanley. The vessel features a characteristic bulbous body with a flared spout and a sharp angular handle. The exterior is finished in a vibrant mottled cobalt blue lustre glaze, decorated with hand-painted floral motifs in shades of pink and red with yellow-green foliage. The rim is detailed with a fine gilt edge. The underside bears the printed KENSINGTON K.P.B. WARE ENGLAND mark, an impressed KENSINGTON ART WARE stamp, and hand-painted 102/T numerals. This piece represents the commercial Art Deco style of the Staffordshire potteries during the interwar period. Circa 1930. Height: 15 cm.
