The globular earthenware base features a cream glaze, decorated with a hand-painted geometric design consisting of interlocking blue circles and silver-toned wavy lines. The lamp is topped with a tapered parchment-effect shade, finished with a decorative braided trim to the edges. The underside of the base bears the manufacturer stamp HAND PAINTED for Waite & Son Ltd, Mitcham, Surrey, alongside handwritten numerals 4254.
