A large glazed earthenware ovoid storage jar with sponged decoration - A large earthenware storage vessel of ovoid, bulbous form, featuring a wide, flared, and out-turned rim. The exterior is finished in a mottled pale-green and ochre glaze, decorated with overall dark brown sponged or splashed markings. A darker, vertically dripped brown glaze is present around the neck and shoulder. The interior appears unglazed or finished with a dark, matte earthenware slip. No maker's marks, stamps, or capacity marks are discernible on the body or rim.
