Victorian Cast metal wash stand with Nouveau Tiles - A victorian washstand frame and splashback, constructed of cast metal painted red. The upright splashback is inset with three square ceramic tiles, each decorated with a stylised white rose motif in the Art Nouveau manner, framed by moulded scrollwork. The frame is supported by slender cabriole legs and is designed to accommodate a marble or stone top, which is missing. The underlying construction is visible in areas of paint loss.
