A Collection of Melba Ware Ceramic Character Jugs - An assortment of glazed ceramic character jugs produced by Melba Ware, comprising various sizes including miniature examples. The collection depicts diverse male figures in historical and period costumes. Several characters are shown wearing traditional 18th-century tricorne hats with brightly coloured coats in green, blue, and red. One larger jug represents a figure in a purple doublet and flat cap in the style of Henry VIII. Each piece is constructed from moulded ceramic with a high-gloss finish. Length of group: 11 inches (28 cm) Height of larger jugs: approximately 3 to 4 inches (7.5 to 10 cm).
