Contemporary Mother of Pearl Hourglass Pedestal Side Table - This contemporary side table features a distinctive hourglass pedestal form, composed of two joined truncated pyramids. The exterior surfaces are entirely finished with a tessellated shell inlay, appearing to be mother-of-pearl or capiz shell. The colour palette is multi-tonal, incorporating shades of cream, grey, and brown. The square top is decorated with a radiating sunburst pattern of shell segments, while the four tapered sides display a horizontal banded arrangement. The construction consists of a shell veneer over a composite or wooden core. No maker signatures or marks are visible, although a small, illegible adhesive label is present near the top edge.
