Victorian Mahogany Asymmetrical Side Cabinet with Folio Interior - A mid-Victorian mahogany side cabinet of one-piece asymmetrical construction. The carcass features a bank of four drawers to one side, each fitted with floral-patterned cut-glass knobs. Adjacent to the drawers is a double-door cupboard section featuring recessed arched panels finished with flame mahogany veneers. The piece is surmounted by a protruding, stepped ogee cornice and rests upon a simple plinth base. The interior of the cupboard is divided by a single horizontal shelf above a series of vertical wooden partitions, configured for the storage of folios, sheet music, or records. The interior is finished in a lighter secondary timber. A small, illegible white label is present on the lower plinth base.
