A mahogany tilt-top tripod table in the George III style - A mahogany tilt-top tripod table featuring a circular, two-piece top with a visible central join. The top is mounted onto a pivoting block mechanism that allows it to tilt vertically. The support consists of a ring-turned and baluster-shaped pedestal stem, which terminates in a tripod base with three splayed cabriole legs. A small white rectangular adhesive label is affixed to the tabletop, which bears the handwritten characters 12873. The timber displays a warm, polished finish with visible grain throughout. No other marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the piece.
