A Collection of Goebel M.I. Hummel Ceramic Items Including Dealer Display Plaque and Figurines - A collection of West German hand-painted ceramic items produced by Goebel, featuring designs by M.I. Hummel. The group comprises an oval dealer display plaque and three figurines. The display plaque features the text ORIGINAL HUMMEL FIGURES in blue and red lettering, with smaller printed text reading Copyright by W. Goebel. Oeslau W. Germany and a blue facsimile signature for M.I. Hummel above the words Reg. trademark. At the top centre of the plaque is a blue and white emblem containing a V and a stylized bee symbol. The three figurines include a boy in a chef hat holding a dessert on a platter, a boy seated on a suitcase with an umbrella, and a girl with pigtails carrying a wicker basket. Each figure is finished with a characteristic matte hand-painted surface. The underside of each piece bears an underglaze blue mark consisting of a V with a small bee inside. One figurine base additionally carries a small white rectangular adhesive label reading 12870. No dimensions are provided as no ruler or scale is visible in the photographs.
