A Collection of Late 19th-Century Brown Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jugs and Tankards with Pewter Lids - An assortment of brown salt-glazed stoneware vessels, comprising pitchers, jugs, and mugs. The collection displays a variety of moulded decorative finishes, including a horizontal basketweave pattern, stippled bands, and smooth, high-gloss glazed surfaces. Most pieces are fitted with hinged pewter lids of varying designs, featuring thumbpieces and finials. The forms include a large bulbous jug, tapered pitchers, and smaller cylindrical tankards. A white rectangular adhesive label is adhered to the upper body of the largest jug on the left, reading 12851 over D. No maker names, factory marks, or country-of-origin stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces shown.
