Two Mid-century Modern Clocks by Swiza and Metamec - A collection of two mid-century modern clocks comprising a Swiss-made Swiza desk clock and an English-made Metamec mantel clock. The Swiza clock features a square brass-tone metal case with a textured gilt dial. The dial is printed with black baton hour markers and the name SWIZA beneath a numeral 8 at the twelve o'clock position, with SWISS MADE printed at the base. The Metamec mantel clock is designed in an elliptical eye shape with a wood-veneer body set within a metal frame with black-painted supports. The circular white dial features black Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions and raised gold-tone stud indices at the other hours. The dial is printed with the name METAMEC at the top and MADE IN ENGLAND over FOREIGN MOVEMENT at the bottom. A white adhesive inventory label reading 12868 / D is affixed to the right side of the wood veneer.
