A Collection of Vintage Domestic Items Including Washboards, a Ceramic wash jug crown Devon and a Wicker Basket - A collection of vintage domestic items comprising washboards, a ceramic pitcher and a large wicker basket. The washboards are built with wooden frames, with rubbing surfaces including corrugated and perforated galvanised metal and textured wavy glass. The glass washboard has a rectangular dark-stained wood panel at the top bearing several rows of gold-coloured printed lettering; the characters are worn and are not clearly legible as a name. The large cream-coloured ceramic pitcher is decorated with transfer-printed polychrome floral sprays in pink, yellow and blue tones, accented with gilt-heightened scrolls. It features a shaped scalloped rim and a scrolled handle. The collection is contained within a large, rectangular wicker basket of woven construction with a hinged lid.
