A Trio of British Railways Lanterns and a Fog Signal Canister - A group of three pieces of vintage British railway equipment comprising two metal lanterns and a cylindrical fog signal canister. The largest item is a metal box-form lantern featuring a side-mounted lens and a wire carry handle, with one side of the casing embossed with the letters BR(M). The second item is a cylindrical metal container with a wire bail handle, tied with jute twine. This canister bears a yellow adhesive label printed in black with the text Explosive, Railway Fog Signals, 6. Division 1, British Railways Board, and Not liable to explode in bulk. The third item is a smaller hand-held metal lantern of rectangular form with glass panels and a cylindrical vented top. All components show construction from ferrous metal and glass.
