A Pair of P. & W. MacLellan Red-Painted Steel Railway Signal Lamps - A pair of industrial railway signal lamps constructed from heavy-gauge red-painted steel. Each lamp is of square-profile form featuring a prominent circular convex glass lens set within a metal bezel. The units are fitted with large, curved top handles for carrying or hanging. The upper casing of one lamp bears embossed capital letters reading MACLELLAN positioned directly above GLASGOW, identifying the manufacturer as P. & W. MacLellan of Glasgow. One lamp also displays a small white rectangular adhesive label marked with the handwritten number 12870 in black ink.
