A Trio of Mid-20th Century Pressed Steel and Tinplate Toy Construction Vehicles - A trio of vintage toy construction vehicles manufactured from pressed steel and tinplate. The group features a tracked crane with a red enclosed cabin and a blue open lattice-work boom. The cabin side bears a small white rectangular adhesive sticker with the hand-written characters 1287a, and a white paper auction tag printed with SHELEYS AUCTIONEERS LOT 150 is attached to the boom. This crane is fitted with a metal clam-shell bucket operated by a system of pulleys and chains and is mounted on tan-coloured rubber caterpillar tracks. The second item is a mobile inclined conveyor belt with a red-painted frame and a dark textured belt, featuring a manual crank handle and a pair of spoked wheels. The collection is completed by a smaller four-wheeled flatbed unit with a red base, equipped with a grey articulating crane arm and a green-painted metal bowl attachment. All three pieces are constructed using riveted and folded metal assembly techniques.
