Bidspirit auction | Gerald Coulson, Off Duty, Framed

Gerald Coulson, Off Duty, Framed Aviation Print - A framed colour print titled Off Duty by Gerald Coulson, depicting a British Avro Lancaster heavy bomber from the Second World War. The aircraft is shown in a three-quarter rear profile, stationary on a misty airfield. Several ground crew figures are positioned near the fuselage alongside maintenance equipment. The composition features bare deciduous trees and low-lying winter foliage in the foreground, rendered in a muted palette of greys, ochres, and browns to evoke a cold, atmospheric morning. The work is signed Gerald Coulson in the lower right corner. The print is housed in a dark stained wood frame with a gilded inner slip.
