An Assortment of collectables including Field Optics, a US Army Pocket Compass and French-Style Opera Glasses - This lot comprises an assortment of vintage and antique items. A primary component is a United States military-issue pocket compass housed in a silver-toned metal hunter-style case. The front lid features the characters U.S. stamped into the metal, identifying it as official government property. The compass includes a large bow ring for attachment and an interior dial visible through a glass crystal. Also present is a pair of small field or opera glasses with yellowed barrels, likely constructed from bone or celluloid, and a central bridge with a knurled focusing wheel. These optics are in the style of 19th-century French makers such as Chevalier. The collection includes an open-face pocket watch which features a white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, ornate filigree hands, and an outer minute track with Arabic numerals from 5 to 60. Additionally, the lot contains a small patinated brass cylindrical container, possibly a vesta case, along with broken chain.
