A Large Mid-Century Teak and Metal Modular Corner Shelving System, Attributed to Staples Ladderax - This is a large mid-century modern modular shelving and storage system, attributed to the Ladderax range designed by Robert Heal for Staples of Cricklewood. The system is constructed from multiple black-painted steel ladder uprights which support various teak-veneered components. The modular design includes several rectangular adjustable shelves and five wedge-shaped corner shelves designed to wrap around internal corners. The storage components consist of two fall-front cabinets, suitable for use as bureaux or cocktail cabinets, each fitted with an external lock and key. Additionally, the system includes a three-drawer chest unit. The metal ladder frames are floor-standing and rest upon wooden block base supports. The design allows for flexible configuration across multiple wall sections. No manufacturer labels or maker marks were identified during the visual inspection.
