The London Mint Office. Strength & Stay: Seven Decades of Devotion. 2021. Limited Edition Set. - A commemorative numismatic presentation set entitled Strength and Stay: Seven Decades of Devotion, issued by The London Mint Office in 2021 to honour the life and service of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (1921-2021). The collection is housed in a large-format black hardcover presentation folder featuring gold-foil stamped titles and decorative scrollwork. The set comprises a full complement of eight Gibraltar-issued coins, each protected in a clear acrylic capsule and accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity. The centerpiece of the collection is a Two Crowns coin struck in 9-carat gold with a Proof finish and layered in pure Fairmined gold. The remaining seven coins are struck in cupro-nickel layered in pure Fairmined gold with a Brilliant Uncirculated finish. These coins are titled: The Father, The Strength and Stay, The Grandfather, The Legacy, A Lifetime of Duty (Half Crown), The Husband, and The Longest-Reigning Consort. The interior of the folder contains several illustrated panels with biographical text and notable quotations. Gold coin: 26mm diameter, 8g weight. Cupro-nickel crowns: 38.6mm diameter, 28.28g weight.
