A Collection of Approximately 18 Pieces of Studio Pottery Including Leach St Ives - This collection of approximately 18 pieces of studio pottery is primarily composed of stoneware items, ranging from functional domestic ware to sculptural forms. The group includes a large wheel-thrown stoneware casserole dish from Leach Pottery, St Ives, featuring twin lug handles and a knob finial. The exterior is unglazed with a toasted brown clay body, while the interior is finished in a celadon-toned ash glaze. The lid retains a handwritten label identifying it as Leach St Ives from the 1970s. Also included is a stoneware jar with a flared rim, decorated with brown slip-trailed wheat-ear motifs on a tan ground, bearing both the St Ives pottery seal and an LC monogram mark. The collection features an organic bowl with a manipulated ruffled rim and dark brown matte glaze. A group of cream-coloured speckled ware includes a jug signed POST on the base, a lidded side-handled pot, and a bowl with a matching saucer that features an indistinct impressed mark to the foot ring. Completing the set are a red earthenware dish with slip-trailed black scroll patterns, and various mugs and small lidded jars in cream, tan, and brown glazes. Casserole dish diameter: approximately 20-25cm.
