The Bradford Exchange 100th Anniversary WWI Commemorative Gold Plated Chronograph Watch 0713/4999 - A limited edition commemorative wristwatch by The Bradford Exchange, produced for the centenary of the First World War (1914-2014). This quartz chronograph features a gold-plated case and a cream dial with Roman numeral indices and gold-tone hands. The dial is inscribed Lest We Forget 100 Years at the 12 o'clock position and includes three sub-dials, two of which are marked with the years 1914 and 2014. The stainless steel case back is engraved with a central silhouette of soldiers and a field gun, captioned Never Forgotten 1914-2014, and is bordered by a list of major battles including Mons, Tannenberg, Heligoland, Marne, Aisne, Albert, Arras, Neuve-Chapelle, Gallipoli, Caporetto, Verdun, Jutland, Somme, Gorizia, Flers-Courcelette, Messines, Isonzo, Artois-Loos, Cambrai, Le Hamel, Amiens, Ypres, St Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne, Canal Du Nord, Vittorio Veneto, and Passchendaele. This item is numbered 0713 from a strictly limited edition of 4,999. It is fitted with a brown genuine leather strap and gold-tone pin buckle. The lot is complete with its original presentation box, a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Managing Director Simon Mellinger, a watch instruction manual, and a commemorative historical pamphlet.
