A Victorian Sheffield Sterling Silver and Mother of Pearl Folding Fruit Knife - A Victorian folding fruit knife featuring a single sterling silver blade and iridescent mother-of-pearl handle scales. The blade is struck with a series of Sheffield hallmarks including the maker mark I.W for Isaac Walton, the crown assay mark, the lion passant for sterling silver, a sovereign's head duty mark, and a lowercase date letter. The handle scales are secured with silver pins and feature decorative engraved silver bolsters at the pivot end. A central rectangular silver cartouche is inset into one scale and is engraved with the name A. ADAMS. The knife is presented with its original two-part fitted leather-covered case.
