A Trio of Late Victorian and Edwardian Walking Canes Including Whangee and Malacca Examples - A collection of three antique walking sticks featuring varied natural materials and construction styles. The first cane is constructed from whangee bamboo, with a crook handle displaying characteristic closely-spaced natural nodes and a matching bamboo shaft. The second stick features a steam-bent wooden handle connected to a tapered wooden shaft by a white metal collar decorated with an incised chevron motif. The third example consists of a polished black horn crook handle joined to a mottled Malacca wood shaft, terminating in a dark metal ferrule.
